Why Science Matters — An i wonder… Webinar

Moving beyond facts to real-world relevance

I wonder webinar Why Science Matters

Textbooks are important resources in the science classroom. But why is it also important for children to have the chance to observe the phenomena described in their textbooks? What do they learn about science from the stories behind the discoveries they read about as facts? How do we help students think critically about the connections between textbook concepts and their real-world experiences?

Anil Kumar Challa and Reeteka Sud, scientists and authors of the article Why Science Matters”, and Vinay Suram, a science resource person at Azim Premji Foundation, explore these and other such questions in this webinar.

The discussion will be in English.
