Why an Undergraduate Degree in Liberal Studies?
About the session
Are you interested in pursuing an undergraduate degree in liberal studies? Do you hear terms like interdisciplinary learning and wonder what they really mean? Ever been told that Arts and Sciences have little in common?
Join us for a conversation that explores how different disciplines connect, overlap, and shape the way we understand the world. Faculty members from the Social Sciences, Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE), and Biology programmes at Azim Premji University will reflect on what it means to study in an interdisciplinary environment. Together, they’ll take on questions like:
- Is it really true that a science degree is the more “viable” option?
- What are the limits of disciplinary learning?
- Can interdisciplinary learning prepare students for real-world problem-solving?
Discover how a liberal studies education helps you think critically, question deeply, and engage with the world across disciplinary boundaries.
