Join us to celebrate the rich cultural and literary tradition of Karnataka.

Dr. B. Janardana Bhat, author, will speak about Masti Venkatesha Iyengar –a pioneer in writing Kannada short stories and honored with Jnanpith award — on Friday, January 31, 2025. The talk is titled ‘Philosophical Aspects in Masti’s Storytelling: Ananthamurthy’s Viewpoint’ and will be in Kannada.

A snippet of Dr. U. R. Ananthamurthy’s video lecture on Masti Venkatesha Iyengar will be played, along with a rendering of Masti’s poem at the event.

Masti’s grandson Sri. Jayanth, from the Masti Venkatesha Iyengar Jeevana Karyalaya Trust will be present during the occasion.

The event is part of ‘Samskruti Sambhrama’ programme series, conceived to celebrate the rich cultural and literary traditions of Karnataka.
