Azim Premji University is hosting a talk titled ​“Ananda Coomaraswamy and the Light of Indianness” by Sri S Surya Prakash Pandit, Chief Sub-editor, Prajavani, and Founder, Abhijnana Prakashana, Bengaluru, along with Sri Goutham M, Junior DevOps Engineer, Alkimi India Private Limited.

The talk will highlight the contributions of Ananda Coomaraswamy to Indian philosophy. A Ceylonese metaphysician, historian, and philosopher of Indian art, Coomaraswamy was one of the earliest interpreters of Indian culture for the West. He has been described as a groundbreaking theorist who played a pivotal role in introducing ancient Indian art and thought to Western audiences.

The lecture is part of the Samskruti Sambhrama series, celebrating Karnataka’s rich cultural heritage.
