Azim Premji University in collaboration with IndiaSpend brings to you the Mumbai edition of the Climate Data Journalism Workshop.

This workshop welcomes reporters and journalists from newsrooms across India. Freelance journalists, science writers and those studying or working on climate change are also welcome to participate.

The workshop aims to provide journalists with the basic tools and skill-sets to report on climate change and build India’s first cohort of climate change journalists. Participants will learn how to build data-backed and evidence-based narratives, tools to detect misinformation and disinformation and visualise stories.

The workshop will take place on April 14 and 15 in Mumbai.

By the end of this two-day certificate course, reporters will be better prepared to write data stories and will gain an insight to best practices while reporting on climate change.
