This course explores the intersection of sustainability advocacy and communication strategies for sustainability action, including the increasing influence of social media in shaping public discourse
and decision-making processes.
Students will examine the role of communication in policy advocacy, public engagement, and stakeholder mobilisation across various sectors. They will develop practical skills in aspects such as writing an op-ed, photo-essay or blog, or developing social media strategies to disseminate complex information about the climate crisis or linked social and environmental dimensions of the sustainability crisis for public communication.
