Singing 101
A space for exploration and a deep understanding of the voice to use it skilfully and efficiently
The “Singing 101” course will immerse students in vocal exploration, emphasising technique, artistry, and the voice’s cultural and emotional connections. It will introduce Carnatic classical music fundamentals, including notation, Sapta Swaras, and rhythm, while fostering voice culture through breath support, flexibility, stamina, and diction.
Students will sing in at least four languages, perform solo and collaboratively, and expand their repertoire. The course cultivates communication, imagination and teamwork through creative, embodied practices in an inclusive environment.
Students will reflect, collaborate, and express themselves, culminating in a performance that will highlight their vocal growth and artistic journey.
