Professional Skills for Development Managers
Fine-tune communication and fundraising skills required to be job-ready
This course aims to prepare MBA (DM) participants with a few general skills required for mid-level managers in Social Sector Organisations (SSOs). Professional skills such as effective communication and fundraising are identified as critical by SSOs for their effective functioning. Therefore, it is imperative for participants of the MBA (DM) programme to build these skills for better job-readiness.
In the overall MBA (DM) programme, this course complements other courses centred around Development perspectives & approaches and Management principles & frameworks, and contributes towards the programme objective of enhancing organisational capacity in key areas. For example, participants will be able to better communicate the impact created by their organizations to external stakeholders like donors and policy implementers. They will also be better prepared to be in donor facing roles for securing new project grants and ensuring the financial health of the organisation
