Monitoring and Evaluation
Measure impact of an organisation’s intervention in a multi-stakeholder environment
Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) is an integral part of any project, in order to ensure accountability in achieving impact. This course builds on the Theory of Change of a project as the foundation and situates M&E at the relevant stages of a project lifecycle. Participants will learn how to establish attribution to the organisation’s efforts through the appropriate evaluation design, evaluation questions and indicators, which is highly relevant in a multi-stakeholder setting. In terms of methods, participants will learn to understand, select and apply a mix of quantitative and qualitative methods in a complementary manner. The course would enable participants to apply sampling techniques that achieve the right balance between representativeness and resource availability. Overall, participants would be able to apply these learnings for designing and conducting simple evaluations in an organisation.
