This course invites you to the practice of applying different methodological approaches to literary texts. You will engage closely with a small selection of texts and explore how various reading strategies shape interpretation. It familiarises you with the foundations of literary analysis through close reading of texts, reading texts in relation to other texts and networks, and reading texts within broader historical, social, and cultural contexts.
