Internship Proposal Development

Design a research- or practice-oriented internship proposal for real-world climate and sustainability challenges.

This course is designed to support students in developing a well-defined, research- or practice-oriented internship proposal aligned with their academic interests and career goals in climate change and sustainability. Working closely with a faculty mentor, students will identify a relevant problem, conduct a focused literature review, define objectives and methodologies, and design a feasible work plan for an external internship with a host organisation. The course emphasizes proposal writing, professional communication, ethical considerations, and the articulation of expected outcomes and deliverables. By the end of the course, students will produce a complete internship proposal suitable for submission to academic, government, industry, or civil society organisations, and be prepared to transition effectively from coursework to field-based or applied professional experience.
