Geospatial Analytics for Climate and Sustainability Applications

This course introduces students to the fundamentals and advanced techniques of geospatial analytics for climate change and sustainability applications. Participants will learn to collect, process, and analyze spatial data using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing technologies. Key topics include spatial data visualization, spatial statistics, geospatial modeling, and the application of machine learning in geospatial analysis for sectors such as natural resource management, agriculture, forestry, urbanization, water, pollution and climate change. The course emphasizes hands on experience with state-of-the-art software tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and Python.
