Social Sector Organisations (SSOs) are heterogeneous in their structures, mandates and ways of functioning. They vary significantly across their legal forms, funding models, governance structures and operational philosophies. This diversity makes it essential for participants to have a direct and immersive engagement with organisations.

The Field Internship provides the participants an opportunity to work on an actual project in an SSO. This enables participants to get a thorough understanding of at least one management function and also a basic exposure to all the management functions in a particular type of organization. At the end, participants will be better informed about working in the social sector and be better prepared to play a managerial role in SSOs.
