Advance Practice 1 — Strength and Conditioning (S&C) and Frisbee

Work on developing other nuances of teaching practices

Here, the students will learn skills in advanced strength and conditioning. They will be acquiring pedagogical skills, and creating individualised lesson plans. Sessions will involve learning to put together routines: specialised forms of warm up, cool down exercises, and focussed areas of strength training (including their progressions). The students will learn about precautions that must be taken into consideration while training individuals with common medical problems and injuries. The course will include basic first-aid training, basic injury prevention and rehabilitation training, and event management skills.

The course will also work on developing other nuances of teaching practices, on how to keep the class interesting and relevant at the same time. The students will need to draw inspiration from the embodied learning course and layer it with teaching techniques which are useful for day-to-day sessions.
