Actions for Social Change

Understand the different forms, scales, approaches and strategies for development interventions.

How do we bring about social change? Who are the actors and what are the actions that they undertake to make our society more just and equitable? What are the challenges they face? These are some of the key questions that we will address in this course. To answer these questions, we will study a range of social interventions that have been led by the state mechanisms, civil society groups and social movements. This course will help you appreciate and learn how development actions are conceptualized and operationalized, often with different constraints. Importantly, the goal of the course is to inspire you to imagine different kinds of development actions relevant to specific contexts.
