The conversation flows around podcasting as a medium, how it didn’t suddenly arrive, but has always existed in different forms. Audio conversations were always there; only the names changed. What was once a radio promo is now a teaser announcing the next week’s guest. The format remains familiar even as the labels evolve.

Sowjanya reflects on the journey from RJing to podcasting, and how not everything changes when the platform changes. The idea of passive viewing is also part of the discussion — sometimes you listen closely, sometimes the voices just keep you company.

Language and identity enter the conversation quietly, without the weight of rescue missions or grand claims. Sowjanya recalls a conversation with Jayanth Kaikini, where he once remarked that the anxiety of ​“saving Kannada” is largely a Bangalore idea — travel fifty kilometres and you’ll hear the language spoken with ease and confidence. Languages don’t need to be protected in theory; they only need room to be lived in.

There are also conversations arould the role of cinema and how, over time, it has fixed language and identity into rigid frames and stereotypes. Podcasting, in contrast, leaves more space — for voices to be ordinary, unpolished, and unhurried.

All in all, It is conversation rooted in the simple joy of talking and listening.

ಪಾಡ್‌ಕ್ಯಾಸ್ಟಿಂಗ್‌ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮದ ಸುತ್ತ ನಡೆಯುವ ಮಾತುಕತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಆಡಿಯೋ ಸಂಭಾಷಣೆಗಳು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಇರುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಹೇಗೆ ಹೆಸರುಗಳು ಮಾತ್ರ ಬದಲಾಗಿ  ವಿಭಿನ್ನ ರೂಪಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಲೇಬಲ್‌ಗಳು ವಿಕಸನಗೊಂಡರೂ ಸಹ ಇದು ಪರಿಚಿತವಾದ ಸ್ವರೂಪ ಎಂಬುದು ಗೊತ್ತಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

RJing ಇಂದ ಪಾಡ್‌ಕ್ಯಾಸ್ಟಿಂಗ್‌ಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಯಾಣದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸೌಜನ್ಯ ಮಾತಾಡುತ್ತಾ, ವೇದಿಕೆ ಬದಲಾದಾಗ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಹೇಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಕಲ್ಪನಾ ಶಕ್ತಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಒತ್ತು ನೀಡಿ, ಕೆಲವೊಮ್ಮೆ ಆಪ್ತವಾಗಿ, ಕೆಲವೊಮ್ಮೆ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ಧ್ವನಿಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಬೆಳಕು ಚೆಲ್ಲುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಭಾಷೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾಂತೀಯ ಗುರುತು ಇವುಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸ್ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಡಿಮ್ಯಾನ್ ಆಲೋಚಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ಸಿನಿಮಾದ ಪಾತ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಲಾನಂತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದು ಭಾಷೆ ಮತ್ತು ಗುರುತನ್ನು
