Biography

Arul completed his MA in English and Comparative Literature from Pondicherry University, Puducherry; MEd from Regional Institute of Education (NCERT), Mysuru; MPhil and PhD in English Language Education from English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad. 

He has a diploma in Japanese language and also an MA in Linguistics. He has explored the use of digital collaborative mind mapping to facilitate reading comprehension of expository texts.

He has worked as a Teaching Assistant of English, COP (Certificate of Proficiency) at EFLU, Hyderabad, and taught English at CELT (Centre for English Language Teaching), Osmania University, Hyderabad. He has also worked as an Assistant Professor in English at CVR College of Engineering, Hyderabad. 

Prior to joining Azim Premji University, Nehru served as an Assistant Professor in Pedagogy of English at Regional Institute of Education (NCERT), Mysuru. He has conducted various workshops and spends more time on reading books, exploring new education technology, and learning new languages.
