Perspectives on the New NCERT Textbooks
Textbooks that bring depth and richness to classroom learning
School Textbooks are not just bundles of lessons — they shape how teachers teach, how children learn, and how classrooms come alive every day. With the recent revision of NCERT textbooks, many of us are curious: What guided these changes? Why were they needed? And how can they enrich learning in our classrooms?
To explore these questions together, we are launching the Textbook Talk Series. This is a space for open conversations where experts, practitioners, and school leaders will share their perspectives, and where we can ask questions, listen, and learn from one another.
Our hope is to go beyond simply “turning the pages” of these new books — to understand the thinking behind them and their potential to spark deeper, more meaningful learning for every child.
Who should attend?
The webinar will be relevant for:
- School leaders, Principals, and Head teachers
- Teachers and subject coordinators
- Curriculum developers and academic coordinators
- Teacher educators, education researchers and scholars
- Policy advocates and members from education NGOs
- School management representatives / trustees
- State and District education officials
This will be a valuable space for all those who wish to critically engage with the changes, reflect on their implications, and explore how textbooks can better support teaching and learning in today’s classrooms.
