About the Resource Person
Gita Chadha is a faculty member at Azim Premji University, Bengaluru. Earlier, she was a faculty member in the Department of Sociology, University of Mumbai, and she also held the Obaid Siddiqi Chair (2023−24) at the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), Bengaluru.
Her teaching and research interests are in the areas of sociological theory, methodologies of research, feminisms, critical science studies, and visual cultures. She pioneered the development of courses in the area of Feminist Science Studies in India and has edited books and special issues of journals like Contributions to Indian Sociology and Economic and Political Weekly (EPW) on critical and feminist science studies. She is currently working on a manuscript on Gender and Science in India.
