Social Enterprise Mela 2024 is a day-long event conducted at Azim Premji University, Bengaluru, on Friday, 22 March 2024, with more than 400 students and members from the University and outside visiting the stalls and engaging in the event.

There will be around 12 stalls to be set up by organizations from in and around Bangalore and Karnataka, including a couple from our neighborhood SHGs and students. We are expecting participation of visitors (mostly students and entrepreneurs) from the city, and our own students and members.

What is Social Enterprise Mela (SEM)?

Social Enterprise Mela idea arose to create a platform for networking between entrepreneurs and students, while also developing an interest to pursue entrepreneurship in the social sector.

The second edition of SEM will host a forum for promising and budding social entrepreneurs to present their ideas, stories and entrepreneurial experiences. The event will also see panel discussions from prominent philanthropists, incubators, industry experts and social change veterans. 

We will be displaying student-led stalls promoting innovative business models to bring change. Students, professionals and young social entrepreneurs are invited to become a part of the Mela.
