This course will look at the sensitive use of wood to make simple objects. The notion of sensitivity will be at various levels : the structure and handling of the material, the use of various ways of joining wood, and their appropriateness, in the choosing of objects to make with wood and thought about where the material comes from. While some of these will be addressed in the ​‘making’, others will be through conversations and observation.
