The students on the course will explore the ​‘tales of the jungle’ as they set their journey into its wilderness via different forms of Indian folk art. Students will constructively engage in understanding the diversity of animals and plants in the forests, the nuances of the conflicts involved (between humans and nature) and the life of tribals and their livelihoods in various forest regions in India. The learnings and understandings will be demonstrated via artifacts using various forms of folk art, songs, dances, written reflections, and discussions.
