Biography
Wilson believes that the primary value of doing Philosophy lies in the process of creating questions rather than providing answers. He is currently asking questions regarding the nature of Propositions (statements that have a truth-value). Specifically, about accounts that think of Propositions as related to, and dependent on the linguistic or cognitive actions of people, rather than positing them as statements existing independent of minds.
Prior to joining the University, he taught in St. Stephen’s College, where he also did his BA & MA in Philosophy. He finished his MPhil from the University of Delhi, in which he worked on providing an acquaintance based account of practical knowledge (Know-How).
He is also interested in questions exploring the tension between subjectivity and objectivity of value judgements in Ethics and Aesthetics. In addition to this, he often finds himself pondering on theological issues that flirt with questions about the meaning of life.
When not doing Philosophy, he is travelling and exploring on two wheels or trying to learn a new piece on the Piano, or playing basketball.
