Nature Writing for Children: Soup, Sea and Stories
From the origins of life in the oceans to turtles returning to the same shores year after year — how do we tell stories of the sea to young readers?

Join Kartik Shanker, Professor, Centre for Ecological Sciences, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, and author of From Soup to Superstar, in conversation with Shashwat DC, as he reflects on writing about nature for children — from marine life and evolution to the quiet connections between science, storytelling, and conservation.
This webinar is part of the Nature Writing for Children series by Azim Premji University, which brings together authors, educators, and readers to explore how storytelling can reconnect children with the wild, the real, and the urgent.
