Reimagining Management for Social Change
Relevance of Management in the Social Sector
What does management look like in the context of social change? In this session, we will explore how management principles, often associated with the corporate world, are being reimagined and adapted to address complex challenges in the social sector.
From planning and implementation to team building, financial sustainability, and scaling impact, the conversation will unpack how thoughtful, context-driven management practices are essential for organisations working in areas like education, health, livelihoods, and sustainability. This session will also highlight the unique dilemmas and opportunities that arise when working towards public purpose in diverse and resource-constrained environments.
Whether you are working in the field, studying development, or considering a career in the social sector, this session will offer fresh insights into how management and mission can align meaningfully.
This session is ideal for:
- Graduates and final-year students from any discipline who are passionate about contributing to the social sector
- Early-career professionals working in NGOs, CSR, or grassroots development initiatives
