Nature writing for children is a field that has grown vastly in recent years, with many authors, old and new, contributing a fascinating array of books aimed at diverse ages, from toddlers to young adults. To deepen our collective engagement with this genre, Azim Premji University brings you a Webinar series Seeking Sustainability: Nature Writing for Children. The series will be of special interest to aspiring writers, parents, educators, and book lovers everywhere.

About the Speakers
Dr. Roopa Satish is a wildlife veterinarian with over 18 years of experience. She worked as a veterinary officer at the Lion and Tiger Rescue Centre, Bannerghatta Biological Park for four years from 2005. She currently works at a wildlife hospital called Bannerghatta Rehabilitation Centre (BRC), run by an NGO Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre (WRRC), located inside Bannerghatta forest, in Bengaluru. She has worked here since 2009 and has had the privilege to treat, hand-rear and rehabilitate injured/orphaned/displaced urban wildlife back into the wild.
Anitha Murthy is a software consultant by profession and loves to write, dabbling in all genres. Her work includes chapter books and picture books for children, published by Talking Cub and Pratham, apart from prize-winning short stories and poetry, published in anthologies and magazines.
