Changing Landscape of Skilling in India

World Youth Skills Day, observed on 15 July, recognises the importance of empowering young people with skills for employment, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development. For our country where the world’s largest youth population resides — approximately 800 million citizens below the age of 35 — skilling them meaningfully for a better future is extremely crucial.

Our youth can contribute to sustainable economic growth and help achieve a prosperous and inclusive India if they are adequately educated and skilled and given resources and opportunities.

In this webinar, Nazrul Haque will discuss some of the important questions and concerns around skilling with our graduates who are currently working in the sector. The alumni will be sharing their insights and talk about current policy approaches, the importance of life skills and the crucial component of job placements after completion of any skilling programme.
