Commemorating the National Science Day on 28 February 2024, Azim Premji University, Bhopal, is celebrating the STEAM Week from 26 February to 1 March 2024.

The week-long event aims to ignite curiosity and inspire a love for science and mathematics among students by making these subjects accessible and engaging through hands-on activities and experiments. According to the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the integration of art is emphasized through a cross-curricular pedagogy known as STEAM, combining science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. This is a step towards weaving art into various subjects, strengthening connections between science, culture, and mathematics. Including art in STEM education enriches learning and makes it more enjoyable and experiential. 

Breaking down complex concepts into simple and relatable experiences that resonate with students of all streams, our Bhopal campus transforms into a hub of exploration and fun. 

Throughout the week, the campus will buzz with various fun-filled science and math activities, from simple science experiments to nature walks, from students pouring in creativity to make wall magazines highlighting pressing issues in science, technology and mathematics to creating art taking inspiration from scientific concepts. 

The weeklong celebration will tap into students’ creative potential and allow them to experiment with novel ideas in science and mathematics. The event is open to university students and members only.
