Alumni Webinar Series_Gender, Education and Empowerment

Our alumni members, Aditya, Nupur, and Ragini will discuss with Manoj how gender, education, and empowerment intersect in their work. They will explore ideas of care, social-emotional learning, and contextual education in the broader framework of social justice. The speakers will examine how these ideas can be applied to create equitable and inclusive learning and development opportunities for marginalised communities.

About the speakers

Aditya Pratap Singh (MA Development, 2012 – 14) works with Labhya Foundation on the co-creation of social – emotional learning (SEL) for children in India.

Ragini Lalit (MA Education, 2017 – 19) is exploring what it means to create critical learning spaces at Muskaan for children and young adults, in a way that centres hope and compassion. She is particularly interested in the use of children’s literature and performing arts in education.

Nupur Rastogi (MA Education, 2018 – 21) engages with a rural community in Santhal Pargana, Jharkhand, and is a part of the Interest group for Dialogue, Fraternity and Justice, Azim Premji University.
