Our country has made remarkable strides in the past 75 years, with several development indicators witnessing significant improvement. But the next 25 years are going to be crucial, and India will need to make a simultaneous triple-transition that ensures equitable, sustainable growth for all Indians. What are our aspirations and what are the challenges that we face, are the focal points of the lecture. 

About the Speaker

Dr. Rajiv Kumar, former Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog and current Chairman of Pahle India Foundation, is a distinguished leader with a broad background in academia, government, and multilateral institutions. With a PhD in Economics from Lucknow University and a DPhil from Oxford University, he has held pivotal roles, including Director and CEO of ICRIER, Professor at IIFT, and Senior Fellow at CPR

In the government, he served as an Economic Advisor at DEA, Ministry of Finance, and Senior Consultant at BICP, Ministry of Industry. His international experience includes a decade at the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Manila.

Dr. Kumar has also contributed to the private sector as Chief Economist of CII and Secretary General of FICCI. He holds key positions as Chancellor of Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Pune, and Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Giri Institute of Development Studies, Lucknow. 

Additionally, he is a Member of the Global Leadership Council at GASP, New York, and serves as a Director of Parley India Foundation.
