This course is designed to enhance laboratory skills and to make students more independent in carrying out laboratory protocols and using instruments. While students will be familiar with many techniques through activities in earlier courses, Lab techniques will require them to independently design experiments and to conduct them after carrying out all preparatory work. This would be in contrast to earlier courses where most of the preparatory work is handled by faculty or associates. Apart from becoming more proficient in laboratory skills and getting experience in troubleshooting experiments, students will also be made aware of sustainable laboratory practices.
