Integrating sustainability — Concepts, Policies and Practice

Understand sustainability as an every-day practice

How can you equip yourself with the skills to be a sustainability practitioner? In this course, though case studies on different themes (such as food, waste water, forests and lakes) you will consolidate your understanding of the concepts and skills learned in the other courses of this IS. You will also undertake practical activities to understand the time and labour involved in various interventions as well as the importance of context. Building on the conceptual understanding that addressing sustainability challenges requires an integrated social-ecological systems outlook, in this course you will reinforce the conceptual learning gained in previous courses, and link it to practical and technical learning in different contexts, to further your understanding of sustainability as an every-day practice.
