Non-biology majors gain an exposure to modern biology by placing it in the Indian context. The course will highlight the need for interdisciplinary approaches towards understanding various aspects related to biology. You will be able to identify with the issues presented to you, and in the process gain foundational knowledge of fundamental biological patterns and processes such as the nature of biological information, evolution, and species and ecosystem interactions. This course will also expose students to challenging problems in biology, and how these problems can be addressed with interdisciplinary solutions.
