Biography
Vikas joined Azim Premji Foundation in 2011 and has worked on different aspects of teacher professional development being a part of conceptualization, operationalization, and implementation of interventions at our field institutes. He primarily engages in conceptual and pedagogical implications of Science and Environmental Studies across school curriculum through courses and workshops with stakeholders. Vikas also contributes to curriculum and syllabus design, textbook development and assessment initiatives undertaken by respective states/boards in collaboration with the university.
Prior to joining us he had a stint with molecular research in Evolutionary Biology and Virology. He also worked as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) at NIIT Ltd. Gurgaon, creating flash animated modules in School Biology.
Vikas holds a bachelor’s degree in Science and Education from the Regional Institute of Education, Bhopal; and a master’s degree in Biotechnology from Barkatullah University, Bhopal.
