Swati Sambrani

Biography

Swati Sambrani is a part of the Centre for Positive Mental Health & Well-being.

Prior to joining us, Swati worked as a student counsellor with APL Global School in Chennai for four years. This involved work in the form of one on one counselling, as well as working on the socio-emotional development of the school community. She has experience working with the teacher, parent and student populations towards that, as well as in ensuring a safe space of wellbeing for all students. 

Prior to that, Swati worked as a teacher in an alternative school, Marudam Farm School, Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, for a period of two years. 

She has a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai and a Bachelor’s degree in Arts (Psychology, Sociology and English) from Christ University, Bengaluru. She also has a Diploma in Lifeskills and Reproductive Health from Christ University and Enfold Proactive Health Trust, Bengaluru. 

She has been trained in the model of Narrative Practices for therapy from Ummeed Child Development Center, Mumbai.
