Biography

Sudha currently leads the Placements Team at Azim Premji University, where she works with students, faculty, and recruiters to build meaningful career opportunities aligned with the university’s mission of social impact. She brings a distinctive combination of financial expertise, educational leadership, and deep commitment to inclusive learning. She enjoys connecting people and possibilities — helping students find purposeful roles and organisations discover passionate talent.

Sudha began her career as a Chartered Accountant (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), accumulating over 15 years of experience in Internal Audit and Process Management across corporates in the Banking and Insurance sectors. In 2014, driven by a deep interest in education, she transitioned into the field of Special Education — a journey spanning nearly a decade. During this time, she worked with Aarambh as a Special Educator, focusing on language and communication skills, and with various Trusts where she streamlined academic sessions for children with special needs. She also contributed to developing a comprehensive Pre-NIOS curriculum covering academic and non-academic domains, and continues to engage with an NGO, counselling students on life skills.

Prior to her current role, Sudha served as an Assistant Professor and Programme Manager at Azim Premji University, where she taught professional development programmes for teachers, managed diploma programmes, and coordinated across outreach, operations, and finance functions to ensure smooth academic delivery.

Her journey — from finance to special education, and now to student placements — reflects an enduring commitment to building systems that empower people to learn, grow, and find purposeful careers.
