Biography

Shruti Bhargava is a visiting faculty member with the School of Education at Azim Premji University.

She has expertise in the area of Early Childhood Education and Children with Special Needs who require assessment and need-based programmes for developmental, cognitive, emotional and physical problems. She has been actively working towards their inclusion in regular Early Childhood Care and Education programmes. 

She is certified to assess children with special needs and has assessed more than 1800 children to date. She is the founder and director of Sehar-Ek Nayi Udaan, an early intervention and stimulation centre for children with special needs.

She worked as an associate professor at the Department of Human Development and Family Studies, Maharaja Sayajirao University, Gujarat for 15 years and has also been Superintendent of Chetan Balwadi, a laboratory nursery school, Maharaja Sayajirao University, Gujarat. 

She has published various research articles and book chapters and presented papers at national and international conferences. In her career spanning 32 years, she has trained 2000 teachers, supervisors, principals, and pediatricians.
