Biography
With a name longer than most introductions (and a thesis title that comes close enough), Shruthi Srigiripura Upendra Charya wrestles with her name while rigorously studying identity politics.
She is a PhD scholar at Kuvempu University, Shimoga. Her doctoral thesis is in the field of Cultural Studies which explores the complex intertwining of cultural nationalisms and post-truth India.
She brings six years of teaching experience to her current role, having worked at Christ University, Bengaluru, and St. Joseph’s College of Commerce, Bengaluru, before joining the University. She makes and sips tea with a holy reverence reserved for ritualistic performance.
