Biography
Shilpashree Mayachar holds a PhD in Environmental Science with research on biosynthesised nanoparticles for bioaerosol remediation. She has 8+ years of combined academic and industry experience, currently serving as a Lab Manager at Azim Premji University, Bengaluru Campus.
Her earlier roles include teaching at Bangalore University and Mount Carmel College and working as a Lab Analyst under the National Air Quality Programme. She has published widely on environmental monitoring, geospatial analysis, and green nanotechnology. She is a life member of the Indian Science Congress and was awarded the Women Achiever Award by Bengaluru University. A patent holder for an antibacterial air purifier, Dr Shilpashree has also contributed to Karnataka’s NEP curriculum development for Environmental Studies and trained students and educators through participatory methods. Her expertise spans environmental education, sustainability practices, and advanced instrumentation.
