Biography
Nisha has been a teacher for over 15 years. Through her teaching career, she has worked with children, students of Master’s programmes, teachers, teacher educators and other senior educational functionaries. As a primary school teacher she was involved in developing theme-based curriculum for Kindergarten through Grade 3.
Her journey as a teacher educator began as she engaged with other teachers facilitating their understanding of theme-based learning. Since then, she has continued to work with varied professionals in the field of education. In the due course of her engagement as a teacher educator, she has developed curricular material for teacher education, conceptualised, coordinated and facilitated many workshops for the various educational functionaries. She has also developed certificate courses related to aspects of education perspectives, language and literacy.

A 6 day course for reflective abilities in teachers to understand the classroom.
Perspectives on Public Education System
This course is envisaged keeping in mind the above context and, therefore, the need to provide opportunities for the officials to review and re-appraise their roles and work towards both a larger vision of education and its relation to different key stakeholders in the public education system today.
Pedagogy of Early Reading and Writing
The course takes participants through experiences of classroom processes leading to an understanding of the principles and practice of a comprehensive literacy pedagogy.
Language Across Curriculum
A 5-day course in developing a critical understanding of the nature and role of language in children, curricula and subject knowledge.
