Biography
Prior to joining us, Meena has worked with NGOs for 7 years. In her last job as a Project Manager, she assisted Ms. Vicky Walters, Lecturer, Massey University, New Zealand in her research project named“Sanitary Injustice: Understanding the inequality of defecation in Karnataka”. This project was exploring the personal and working lives of sweepers and manual scavengers in Karnataka. She played an important role in preliminary scoping investigations. She has managed project finances and conducted a large number of life-story interviews and focus groups. She has a Master’s degree in Science (Life Sciences) from Bangalore University and a Bachelor’s degree in Science from Mount Carmel College, Bengaluru.
