Biography

Fairen Freddy is a part of Conversations: Centre for Positive Mental Health and Wellbeing, at Azim Premji University. 

She works as a counselling psychologist and has over two years of experience in the Mental Health industry. Prior to joining the University, she worked at VIBGYOR Group of Schools as a School Counsellor to cater to students’ academic as well as psycho-social needs that are beyond their curriculum. Here, she was involved in handling workshops, conducting awareness programmes, teacher’s training, working with students having special needs and learning delays, along with providing guidance and support to the parents, as required. 

Fairen has a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Christ University, Bengaluru. She holds a Diploma in Psycho-Social Wellbeing, using Multi-arts and Play. She is equipped with using an eclectic approach with clients and suggesting helpful ways that they could incorporate while working towards their individual goals. 

Fairen indulges in creative writing and enjoys being out in nature, travelling, dancing and trying anything new that instils creativity and learning.
