Biography

Bijoy joined Azim Premji Foundation in 2006 from Indian Institute of Rural Management (IIRM), Jaipur where he did his PGDRM in Rural Development and Rural Marketing. He leads the work in North Eastern States, Jammu & Kashmir, and is responsible for anchoring work in other non-intervention states as part of the School of Continuing Education and University Resource Centre, Azim Premji University. In the last 15 years with the organisation, he has worked extensively across different positions in different states of India, striving to improve the delivery of the public education system.

He initiated his work with the foundation as part of the Research function, where he contributed to inhouse programmatic researches. He later worked as part of the core team that initiated programmatic operations in Sirohi district, Rajasthan. He managed the Academic Co-development process in the foundation with a focus on developing technical and curricular repositories for the foundation and later lead the District Institute operations in Udham Singh Nagar and Nainital in Uttarakhand. Over the years, he has anchored educational leadership, curricular material development, system reform initiatives of the foundation in different states.
