Teaching Economics Together

A pedagogy workshop for school teachers

P1037622

Most students are first exposed to economics as a subject in middle school. These experiences shape their interest and understanding of the subject. School teachers play a crucial role in developing this interest and often leave a lasting impression for the subject in students.

Recognising the critical role of school-level economics teachers, Azim Premji University, Bhopal, is organising a two-day workshop for school teachers dedicated to their students’ education and committed to their professional development.

The workshop aims to open the floor for various discussions like:

  • Providing a relatable Indian context to economic theories concerning the core textbook designed for this purpose
  • An introduction to modern tools, such as data analysis and visualisation, essential for contemporary economic education
  • Introducing teachers to the pluralistic nature of economic theory
  • Innovative teaching practices
  • Insights into the various career paths available in economics to enable teachers to guide their students more effectively

If you are an economics school teacher based in Madhya Pradesh and want to participate in this workshop, Register here. We have limited seats.

Participation in the workshop is free. Certificate of participation will be awarded on completion of the workshop.
