Azim Premji University invites you to the launch and exhibition of The Pushpa Mittra Bhargava Archive.
Pushpa Mittra Bhargava (1928 – 2017) was an Indian scientist, writer and administrator. He founded the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology in Hyderabad. He was a recipient of several awards, including the Padma Bhushan, for his distinguished service.
The Archive launch will exhibit his notable writings, research papers, and correspondence with eminent personalities covering seven themes:
- Scientific Temper
- Correspondence with the families of scientist JBS Haldane and artist MF Husain
- Religion and Atheism
- Vaccines
- Indian Social Science Congress
- Method of Science Exhibition
The exhibition also features rare paintings, postal stamps, matchboxes, mementoes, and other artefacts.
A panel discussion on the ‘Method of Science’ will also be hosted during the launch.
