India and the World today: Geopolitical and Economic Challenges

The talk will be about geopolitical and economic developments that pose a challenge to India’s near-term growth prospects.

Even as India recovers from the social and economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the economy has been buffeted by the war in Ukraine, the economic sanctions imposed by the G‑7 economies, the economic slowdown in the US, the EU, and China, and, most recently, by tension in East Asia.

Dr Baru, Distinguished Fellow at United Service Institution of India (USI) and former Director for Geo-economics and Strategy, International Institute of Strategic Studies, London, will speak on India and the World Today: Geopolitical and Economic Challenges.
