Quantitative Methods in Biology

The ability to use quantitative information to understand the world around us is essential to human functioning.

This course helps you build the basic skills required for quantitative reasoning, using exercises in graph plotting, programming and data collection with algebra constantly in the background.

We train you to understand programming questions, meaning of variables, straight lines, the power function, and exponential function. We work with probability, both empirical and a priori, and its language. You will learn to use a basic programming language ®, extract data from information, work with datasets to plot specific features and fit datas to trends and statistical distribution.
