Mathematics for Physics II

Delve deeper into computational tasks

Mathematical methods up to multivariable calculus are covered in the first course Mathematics for Physics I”. Physics students are expected to be familiar with other basic mathematical methods, namely linear algebra, integral transforms and differential equations. Prototypical applications of the techniques based on these that appear in physical problems would be introduced in this course and reinforced as applications in future courses.

Content: Linear Algebra; Sequences and Series; Fourier Series and Fourier Transforms; Ordinary Differential Equations; Partial Differential Equations. Physical applications of the above.

A set of computational tasks based on the above.
