Smt. Supriya Raghunandan, Singer and Founder, Suraghavi Foundation, Bengaluru, will render selected poems of renowned Kannada poet Da. Ra. Bendre (Pen name: Ambikatanayadatta) on Friday, January 17, 2025. She will be accompanied by Sri Jayachandrachar on Tabla, Sri V. Yashodhara (Vadi) on Rhythm Pad, Sri Parashuram Bijapur on Keyboaŗd and Sri Nishchay Jain, Singer.
A snippet of Dr. U. R. Ananthamurthy’s video lecture on Da. Ra. Bendre will also be played during the occasion.
There will also be an exhibition of portraits of renowned Kannada writers. The exhibition will be open to the public till January 19, 2025.
The event is part of ‘Samskruti Sambhrama’ programme series, conceived to celebrate the rich cultural and literary traditions of Karnataka.
