Implementation – Theories and Practice

What are the contexts in which public policy is implemented?

How are activities, resources, people and technologies put together to meet desired policy objectives? This course studies the operational aspects of the deployment of public policies as well as the particularities of the contexts in which they are implemented. In this course we examine and explain the roles of frontline actors, organisations, regulatory systems and social norms. This is looked at through technological, sociological and practice-based understandings of implementation.
